REMEMBER THAT One small change each day, can lead to remarkable outcomes

Hi, I’m Tamzin
A Registered Dietitian and the founder of Purposeful Eating RD.
I’m a South African dietitian working full-time online, supporting clients worldwide with personalised, evidence-based nutrition care.
I qualified with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Stellenbosch University in 2017 and worked as a clinical dietitian at False Bay Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, from 2018 to 2025, where I gained extensive experience managing medical conditions and helping people improve their health through practical, sustainable nutrition strategies.
My special interest lies in thyroid health and thyroid autoimmunity, particularly Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. This passion is deeply personal. After being diagnosed with Graves’ Disease myself, I used targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes to support my thyroid health and improve my thyroid antibodies. That journey shaped the way I practice and deepened my commitment to helping others navigate thyroid conditions with confidence and clarity.
I primarily work with women struggling with thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, diabetes, and PCOS, focusing on hormone support, improved energy, sustainable weight management, and reducing frustrating symptoms, without rigid rules or unnecessary restriction.
I believe nutrition should feel realistic, flexible, and empowering. You don’t need to eat perfectly or give up the foods you love to see meaningful results. Instead, I’ll help you understand your body, use food strategically, and build habits that fit your life so you can feel better, stronger, and more in control of your health.
